²²¹² POP3 (POST OFFICE PROTOCOL v. 3) is a Spontaneous Dissemination standard protocol that retrieves pulse-mail messages from a server over a TP/IPPT° connection.

° After the O.N.A.N. abolished TCP/UDP-oriented intra-net, many Usenet and pulse-mail (particularly IMAP and TRNL) service-discoverable systems were flooded with millions of desperate help requests, calls to war/peace and SuperDock transfers from various stranded civilians affected by the Centurion genocides. This led to mass censorship and confiscation of almost every non-IPPT server, where POP3 became the only protocol to continue serving such political/hateful/fearful messages due to its decentralized nature.

This is a very early draft, and I'm not sure where to bring the whole thing. You'll notice some obvious rips from Infinite Jest, e.x. "The O.N.A.N.", my previous view on Subsidized Time being about names of concepts (YC) or fictional companies, where IJ opts for all-real ones, which I didn't do so it isn't stealing, OK? I plan to make the O.N.A.N. stand for something else, and it'll be like 1984 in that thing. Or, at least, it'll have some level of corrupt govt., but I still haven't thought a lot of that type of stuff up yet. I plan to add footnotes for explanations of the O.N.A.N., the Centurion genocides, SuperDock software and TRNL. Basically everything fresh'll get constructed. I haven't done a lot of that. What you're reading is the very initial version, and it was all written on that ride home, so to be completely candid I cannot say whether it'll get developed any further, but I think it's a good idea and I hope to flesh it out.
