i got a little into Disco Elysium back when i only had Sangre, so to continue where i left off i would have to transfer the save file im not sure i even still have. i re-pirated Disco Elysium onto Paralizer, and im thinking i'll restart the whole game. i didn't get very far, anyway, i think. i also redownloaded B3313 (the House of Leaves of Super Mario 64, my favorite modification of any video game ever) and found out that the Parallel Launcher integration with ROMHacking.com also had a save backup feature i never knew about, so i booted into the game with my 31 stars i got on Sangre. i havent booted up Disco Elysium yet. same thing with Minecraft: i was able to transfer all of my Prism Launcher instances, worlds, shader files, mods, etc. and can pick up right where i left off.
i also saw the Backrooms movie yesterday! it was really cool! my only complaint is that the ending felt very abrupt, like Kane took a look at his film spool and realized he didn't have enough to keep filming, and so like panicked and did the ending scene. very sudden ending. the story was still flowing when it ended. it left a lot of holes, and im like 99% sure they're going to make a sequel. i feel like the scene, while kind of a montage-sort of scene that would suit a final scene of a film, could have just continued after with more scenes. it didn't really establish anything big. i also watched the original YouTube series with my mom, who seems to really enjoy the Backrooms as a whole. i have more specific tastes; while the Kane Pixels rendition of the Backrooms is really good and definitely the most fleshed-out, my favored version of the Backrooms is as a video game with no entities of any kind, where you can spend your time just exploring the unique rooms. this is part of why i like B3313: that game is basically my idea of a Backrooms game, but as a Super Mario 64 hack. i also had an idea of what i would've liked for an ENA video game, which is basically also that Backrooms procedurally-generated-no-creatures thing but with much more unique ENA-styled places. the more objective-based ENA: Dream BBQ game still works, though. i like fucked up and random architecture, i guess. most peoples' joy in the Backrooms is it being a rat maze of weird wire-creatures and killer mold and Smilers. i like the Backrooms for its liminalstuffs. its a nostalgic feeling place. B3313 gets this: its basically a blend of the Super Mario 64 beta and the Personalization creepypasta, which basically turns Super Mario 64 into its own Backrooms, and gives it a nostalgic theming by making it look like it's still in development or whatever. i like, i like.
