i beat ULTRAKILL's layer 8 (Fraud) in 2 hours-ish. its non-euclidean portal stuff reminded me of a nostalgic time where i had no worries but had a lot of confusions and i saw a lot of youtube videos (after beating Portal and Portal II) which had a minecraft mod that had portals being used like layer 8 did. i always envied those youtubers, whom had literally reality-bending magic and i had no idea how to get it for myself. i now have a copy of minecraft fit with all of those mods, and i dont really play it much. but anyway, layer 8 did a lot of the stuff those videos did, where large parts of the map moved around and you could jump onto the ceiling and such. it was pretty cool, but what with the game's whole thing with, like, never letting your grip off of the adrenal gland, i honestly didnt pay much attention to it. i was too busy getting killed! i had to restart 8-3 35 times! 35!! i hated that level!! i play on lenient and Power still killed me 35 times!! i beat the giant final flight thing after like 2 restarts, but no, it was Power that killed me 35 times. i hated that level. the non-euclidean stuff was damn beautiful, but i couldnt pay any attention to it because of the assault on my senses that was the Power fight. i was, like, totally ready to classify Fraud in the same area as House of Leaves and B3313 and MyHouse.wad and other sort of "infinite unique exploration with nobody around and w/o euclidean architecture/mapping", but it lacked the "nobody around" aspect for all the damn enemies in it!!

anyway, ive always been kind of self-conscious about my music taste (Who the fuck is Goreshit? That sounds like some violent shit! (it totally is, but, like, i dont listen to the extreme tracks in the discography, okay? only the good ones. im sensible about the loud experimental bullshit i listen to)) but ive come to find out that at least two (2) people spend time out of their life to listen to the music i write about (only one of them being from the random tracks i write into the Music section of my blog), which is kind of reassuring. only one of these two people actually told me about it, though (not that i really care about being told "Hey, I listen to the music you write under your blog posts" by most people who have specifically asked me about my blog). is there a difference between something someone does and whether they speak about it? whatever. no matter how i come to know of something i still know it.
